Una delle più belle uscite a mio avviso del 2025:
“Frippada Andaluza” dei Malabriega, una band di Siviglia dedita al rock, flamenco, jazz in chiave progressive.
Bellissimo dalla prima traccia all’ultima. C’è tutta la passione dell’Andalusia ma non è un album puramente folk rock, piuttosto è un cantato spagnolo in una trama musicale assolutamente progressive.
Una produzione eccellente, grande la chitarra e la batteria molto pulita e precisa. Le tastiere fanno un lavoro egregio. La voce è il vero punto di forza a mio avviso. Interpretazioni entusiasmanti.
Ci sono pezzi i cui le origini del flamenco emergono ma perfettamente nel contesto rock del disco.
C’è l’influenza delle grandi band americane del Southern Rock degli anni '70 e a tratti del metal anni '80.
Un grande album di prog rock contemporaneo.

“Frippada Andaluza” by Malabriega, a band from Seville dedicated to rock, flamenco, jazz in a progressive key.
Beautiful from the first track to the last. There is all the passion of Andalusia but it is not a purely folk rock album, rather it is a Spanish singing in an absolutely progressive musical plot.
An excellent production, great guitar and very clean and precise drums. The keyboards do an excellent job. The voice is the real strong point in my opinion. Exciting interpretations.
There are pieces whose flamenco origins emerge but perfectly in the rock context of the album.
There is the influence of the great American bands of Southern Rock of the 70s and at times of metal from the 80s.
A great album of contemporary prog rock.
