Genealogia, pubblicato nel 1974, terzo album dei Perigeo, uno dei grandi gruppi jazz-rock italiani degli anni Settanta (insieme ad Arti & Mestieri e Area) ma probabilmente i meno italiani musicalmente fra loro.
Solo brani strumentali per una band è composta da musicisti di grandissimo talento, un jazz rock molto raffinato con un'atmosfera unica anche grazie a chitarre acustiche e sassofoni.
Il brano che mi piace di piu' e' la fantastica title track di apertura ma bellissime anche "Polaris" con un grandissimo lavoro al pianoforte elettrico e "(In) Vino Veritas", la traccia più lunga dell'album con una bellissima chitarra elettrica. Una menzione anche per "Via Beato Angelico" un brano soft fra tastiere e congas.
Non e' considerato il loro capolavoro, ma è uno dei successi più grandi della band, più rock dei precedenti album, forse uno dei motivi per cui semplicemente lo adoro.

Genealogia, published in 1974, third album by Perigeo, one of the great Italian jazz-rock bands of the Seventies (along with Arti & Mestieri and Area) but probably the least Italian musically among them.
Only instrumental songs for a band composed of extremely talented musicians, a very refined jazz rock with a unique atmosphere also thanks to acoustic guitars and saxophones.
The song I like the most is the fantastic opening title track but also beautiful "Polaris" with a great work on the electric piano and "(In) Vino Veritas", the longest track on the album with a beautiful electric guitar. A mention also for "Via Beato Angelico" a soft song between keyboards and congas.
It is not considered their masterpiece, but it is one of the band's greatest successes, more rock than the previous albums, perhaps one of the reasons why I simply adore it.
