Un album trainato da un singolo che e' anche uno dei brani piu' belli mai scritti, Into My Arms, 255 eterni secondi di pura poesia.  

Ogni verso di questo brano e' di una intensita' e profondita' unici, ve lo riporto integralmente sperando che vorrete spendere pochi secondi a leggerlo e poi magari mettere su il disco ed ascolarlo. Non lo avete? Prendetelo!

Ci sono altri, capolavori, ve ne cito solo alcuni, che sono picchi altrissimi in questo album, (Are You) the One That I've Been Waiting For? e Idiot Prayer, e cosa dire della leggerezza di Far from Me altro bellissimo brano, ma anche il blues o forse gospel finale, completamente acustico chitarra e armonica, a due voci, Green Eyes, e' un piccolo capolavoro di gusto ed emozioni. 

I dischi di Cave e la sua band sono come libri, vanno letti per intero e anche se un paragrafo sembra minore o scritto solo per aiutare nella comprensione del contesto, oppure e' una digressione su un tema necessario, non va saltato, alrimenti si perde il senso dell'intera narrazione.

Continuano a stupire, benche' siano la norma, disco dopo disco, brano dopo brano, ascolto dopo ascolto, le interpretazioni di Cave, col "visibile" trasporto nel cantato. Immenso, almeno per me. Una buona conoscenza della lingua puo' trasformare le emozioni in commozioni, i testi cambiano l'aspetto dei brani e danno ancora piu' senso alle interpretazioni. 

Per consigliarvelo vi ricordo che l'album è stato incluso nel libro 1001 Albums "You Must Hear Before You Die". Sono d'accordo, e' proprio uno di quegli album.
